Since 1925, Busch & Müller has constantly been innovating and developing new products and technologies. The most recent ones are IQ-TEC, LineTec for rear lights, and LICHT24. Did you know? The position light function is a B+M innovation many others have since adopted. Busch & Müller has always been a trendsetter!

B+M headlights have an output far beyond the 10 lux required by law, with some lights having an output of 170 lux. B+M stands for innovation, technology, quality, design, and a permanent concern for the cyclist's safety.

Since 1925, Busch+Müller has been manufacturing bicycle lights.

In the 90s, they launched the LUMOTEC series, followed by the TOPLIGHT series, the invention of automatic position light, IQ technology, daytime running light emitting diodes, LineTec, and BrakeTec... They have now crossed the line 100 lux barrier for dynamo headlights and offer new solutions for e-bikes - in short: they believe in innovation and produce originals (often imitated).

All this they do with more than 200 employees in Meinerzhagen: Made in Germany.

They design all the elements and manufacture the necessary tools in their more than 30 molding machines, such as injection molds. Each piece is produced from a specific mold.

The light source is a tiny LED. Only a reflector transforms this point of light into a targeted light field. Many calculations, measurements, and prototype experiments are necessary to give the light its precise direction. It takes several months for a new "light design" to go into mass production. They then take their blank reflectors and vacuum metalize them with an immeasurably thin aluminum mirror surface.

At the end of the assembly, all functions of each headlight or rear light are tested. More is needed so that the product shines. They check the light output, field, the boundary between light and dark, and more. These controls, supported by measuring devices, are carried out manually by their employees.
